With the release of MAP toolkit 7.0, Microsoft have taken a huge leap in making this tool more useful across the board. Previously, if you didn’t have the CPT Excel plugin also, manipulating data coming out of the tool wasn’t the most fun. Now however, it puts so much information at your fingertips so easily, it may become part of my standard toolkit.
Apart from the obvious consolidation/virtualization capabilities, the MAP tool is really great for gathering information on your estate. From licencing exposure, to general server health, it can give you a lot of information quickly and easily.
